Seaside Treehouse

Wellfleet, MA

Residential Renovation
Under Construction

This 1977 home in Wellfleet is part of a strong local heritage of Cape Cod modern architecture. The goal of the design was to maintain much of the original home, including a mid-century floating staircase, but reconfigure and renovate the kitchen, first floor bathroom, and main bed/bath/closet suite to better flow. Added windows provide better daylight into what were darker rooms and new doorways and openings create better connectivity room to room; creating a feeling of greater space without actually adding square feet.
