Wellfleet Woods

Set on a lot with a raised berm that was once a rail line, the house is carefully sited to sit amongst the trees with “mid-trunk” views into the canopies of Cape Cod scrub pines. Long, low roof overhangs protect against southern sun and are also a subtle design nod to turn of the century train station architecture. Spaces are clad in a variety of wood species including fir, cedar, and ipe. The home is intentionally compact, creatively sited on an existing abandoned foundation.
